The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve signed LB Cam Johnson off of the Cardinals’ practice squad and placed LB Nate Orchard on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
Johnson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2012. However, he was traded to the Colts a year later in return for WR Geoff Swain.
The Colts cut Johnson loose coming out of the preseason last year and he was signed to the Browns’ practice squad last year. Unfortunately, he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason but managed to sign on to the Cardinals’ practice squad earlier in the week.
In 2015, Johnson appeared in one game and recorded three tackles and no sacks for the Browns.
