Browns Sign WR Royce Adams

The Cleveland Browns signed WR Royce Adams to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday, according to the NFL Transactions release.

Adams, 25, played at the University of Purdue and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League back in 2010.

Royce was with the Jets in 2012 where the elected to move him to cornerback, according to Brian McIntyre. Royce suffered a knee injury was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve. The Jets would later cut him loose in August of last year.

He is listed as a wide receiver so it appears as though he is hoping to remain at this position with the Browns. This is the first transaction of new GM Ray Farmer‘s tenure with the Browns.
