Report: Steelers Will Not Sign Free Agent WR Steve Breaston

Ed Bouchette reports that a source has informed him that the Steelers will not sign free agent WR Steve Breaston, but adds that they could revisit the idea at some point in the coming weeks.

Mary Kay Cabot tweets that it’s unlikely that the Browns will sign free agent WR Steve Breaston, despite meeting with him earlier in the week.

Breaston also met with the Steelers, who appear to have been the favorites all along. Breaston is from Pittsburgh and excelled under their current offensive coordinator, Todd Haley, while in Arizona. They also have an obvious need at receiver, assuming that they do in fact lose Mike Wallace to free agency.
