Browns Waive DB Darius Hillary & FB Malcolm Johnson

The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve placed FB Malcolm Johnson and DB Darius Hillary on waivers Monday to make room forĀ  QB Joe Callahan and OL Gabe Ikard, who were claimed off of waivers.

Hillary, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in May. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to their practice squad.

Cincinnati elected to cut him loose a few weeks ago but he just recently signed on to the Browns’ practice squad. The Browns called him up this past weekend.

Hillary has yet to appear in an NFL game.
