Rick Stroud reports that the Buccaneers are expected to sign Eagles free agent DL Beau Allen to a contract.
Allen, 26, is a former seventh-round pick by the Eagles in the 2014 NFL Draft. He played out the final year of a four-year rookie contract worth $2,282,248 and made a base salary of $690,000 in 2017.
Allen is now in position to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Allen appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and recorded 20 tackles and one sack. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 80 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.
