Buccaneers Place OL Evan Smith & RB Shaun Wilson On IR, Re-Sign LB Kevin Minter

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed OL Evan Smith and RB Shaun Wilson on injured reserve Tuesday and re-signed LB Kevin Minter.

Smith, 32, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent back in 2009. After four years in Green Bay, Smith signed a four-year, $14.25 million contract with the Buccaneers back in 2014.

Smith played out the final year of his contract before returning to Tampa Bay this past March on a two-year, $6 million deal.

In 2018, Smith appeared in seven games for the Buccaneers.

Minter, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $4,390,288 contract with the Cardinals before signing a one-year, $4.25 million contract with the Bengals last March.

The Jets signed Minter to a contract in April only to release him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. Minter later had a brief stint with the Buccaneers.

In 2018, Minter has appeared in one game for the Buccaneers and one tackle.
