The Arizona Cardinals have announced that they have reduced their roster down to the required 53 players on Saturday.

- T Cameron Bradfield
- DE Matt Shaughnessy
- NT Alameda Taโamu
- ILB Gabe Martin
- CB Cariel Brooks
- CB Jonte Green
- CB C.J. Roberts
- CB Jimmy Legree (injured)
- S Harold Jones-Quartey
- S Anthony Walters
The Cardinals have also placedย TEย Gerald Christianย on the season-ending injured reserve after sustaining aย knee injury during the preseason finale.
Shaughnessy, 28, was in the year of his final two-year, $4.4 million contractย that included another $2.2 million is available through incentives. He was set to make a base salary ofย $1.45 million for the 2015 season.
Jason Fitzgerald mentions that the Cardinals already paidย Shaughnessy aย $500,000 bonus this offseason. Although, theyโll saveย $1.45ย million inย salary following this move.
In 2014,ย Shaughnessyย was limited to appearing in just eight games for the Cardinals after he was placed on short-term injured reserve. He finished the year with 17 tackles.

I guess Bruce knows what he is doing. I think he should’ve saved the draft pick and kept Phillip Sims. I would rather have Tebow than trading a 7th round pick for Barkley, Tebow is a winner and with the injury prone quarterbacks he has I would like to see him get a better deal. GO CARDINALS!
