The Cardinals announced they have designated DL Zach Allen to return from injured reserve.
Arizona also signed five players to the practice squad, including:
- TE Evan Baylis
- LB Reggie Walker
- DL P.J. Johnson
- DL Daylon Mack
- DL Stacey McGee
To free up space, Arizona also cut LB Stephone Anthony and OT Rick Leonard from the practice squad.
This opens up a three-week window for Allen to practice with the team before Arizona has to add him to the active roster.
Allen, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Cardinals out of Boston College back in 2019. He’s in the second year of his four-year rookie deal worth $4.3 million.
In 2020, Allen has appeared in seven games for the Cardinals and recorded 11 tackles and a sack.
