The Arizona Cardinals announced Wednesday that they’ve placed OT D.J. Humphries on injured reserve and signed OT Joe Barksdale to a contract.
- The Cardinals also signed OL Rees Odhiambo off the Coltsโ practice squad.
Humphries, 24, is a former first-round pick out of Florida by the Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was in the final year of his four-year, $8.912 rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary of $1,450,288 million for 2018 when Arizona picked up his fifth-year option this past May.
Humphries now stands to make a base salary of $9,625,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Humphries appeared in nine games for the Cardinals.
Barksdale, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. After a few years in Oakland, he was waived at during the 2012 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.
Barksdale spent three years with the Rams before signing a one-year deal with the Chargers in 2015. He as w in the third year of his four-year, $22.2 million contract and set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2018 season when the Chargers waived him a few days ago.
In 2018, Barksdale has appeared in six games for the Chargers.
