Cardinals Placing LT D.J. Humphries On Injured Reserve With Dislocated Kneecap

The Arizona Cardinals announced that they’re placing LT D.J. Humphries on injured reserve Friday with a dislocated kneecap and an MCL injury that he suffered during Thursday night’s loss to the Seahawks.

  • The Cardinals will also place TE Ifeanyi Momah on injured reserve with a broken leg.

The Cardinals plan to move Jared Veldheer back to left tackle with John Wetzel taking over at right tackle moving forward, per Kent Somers.

Humphries, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $8.912 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $1,245,192 and $1,450,288 over the next two years.

The Cardinals will have to decide whether to pick up Humphries fifth-year option next year.

In 2017, Humphries appeared in five games for the Cardinals and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 22 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
