Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals are promoting LB Scooby Wright to their active roster after they lost OLB Markus Golden for the season.
Wright, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was cut loose a few weeks into the 2016 season before later signing on to the Browns’ practice squad.
The Cardinals would later sign him to their active roster in December of last year. Unfortunately, Wright was cut loose coming out of the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players and later signed to their practice squad.
Wright has been on and off of their practice squad this year.
In 2016, Wright appeared in three games for Arizona and recorded two total tackles.
