Cardinals Re-Sign DE Cap Capi, Waive/Injured DE Bryson Albright

The Arizona Cardinals announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed DE Cap Capi and waived DE Bryson Albright with an injury designation.

Should Albright clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Cardinals’ injured serve list.

Capi, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Akron back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad.

Capi has brief stints with the Falcons and Cardinals before he was signed to the Giants practice squad at the start of the regular season. New York later promoted him to their active roster before placing him on injured reserve and eventually cutting him loose with a settlement.

The Bills later signed him to their practice squad before promoting him to the active roster. Buffalo waived Capi this past April.

In 2017, Capi has appeared in eight games and recorded seven tackles, one sack and a forced fumble for the Giants and Bills.
