Cardinals Sign CB Lou Young

The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve signed CBย Lou Young to a contract.

It’s worth mentioning thatย new Cardinals HC Steve Wilks worked with Young while they were in Carolina a few years ago.

Young, 26, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few months in Denver before he was waived during the final week of the preseason.

After brief stints with the Ravens and Jaguars, Young signed a future/reserve contract with the Panthers in 2016 but was among their final roster cuts in each of the past two seasons.ย He was on and off of the Panthers’ active roster last year before Carolina ultimately elected to waive Young shortly after this last year’s draft.

The Redskins signed him to a contract soon after but waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Young appeared in six games for the Panthers and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
