Cardinals Sign DL Caraun Reid, Promote Two

The Cardinals announced on Wednesday they have signed DL Caraun Reid to the active roster.

Arizona also promoted LBs Tanner Vallejo and Kylie Fitts from the practice squad to the active roster. Arizona signed QB Drew Anderson, WR Saeed Blacknall and DL Lyndon Johnson to the practice squad.

Reid, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Lions back in 2014. He lasted just over two years in Detroit before he was waived at the start of the 2016 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Chargers.

Unfortunately, Reid suffered a season-ending ACL tear in 2016 and was placed on injured reserve. The Chargers elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he had brief stints with the Lions, Redskins and Colts before signing on with the Cowboys.

Reid signed with the Colts during the preseason but was released during final roster cuts.

In 2018, Reid appeared in 10 games for the Cowboys and recorded 10 tackles, a half sack and a forced fumble.

Vallejo, 24, is a former sixth-round pick by the Bills out of Boise State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was in the second year of his four-year rookie contract when the Bills waived him at the start of the 2018 season.

The Browns claimed Vallejo off of waivers last year before placing him on injured reserve. From there, Vallejo was claimed by the Cardinals, but wound up being among their final roster cuts.

The Redskins claimed Vallejo waivers before recently cutting him loose. He was re-signed to the Cardinals practice squad.

In 2018, Vallejo appeared in 13 games for the Browns and recorded 27 total tackles, no sacks and a forced fumble.
