The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they’ve signed K Matt McCrane to their practice squad and released OL Kyle Friend from the unit.
Here’s the Cardinals updated practice squad:
- QB Charles Kanoff
- DT Pasoni Tasini
- WR Jalen Tolliver
- TE Andrew Vollert
- CB Chris Jones
- LB Ufomba Kamalu
- C Coleman Shelton
- RB Brandon Wilds
- DB Deatrick Nichols
- KÂ Matt McCrane
The Cardinals decided to sign McCrane with KÂ Phil Dawson dealing with a right hip injury.
McCrane, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cardinals and was set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season when he was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Raiders signed him to a contract a few weeks ago, but elected to cut him loose earlier in the week.
In 2018, McCrane has appeared in three games for the Raiders and coverted 5 of 9 field goal attempts (55.6 percent) to go along with all five extra point tries.
