Cardinals Sign DL Frostee Rucker To A One-Year Extension

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals have agreed to a one-year contract extension for veteran DL Frostee Rucker.

  • Field Yates of ESPN reports that Rucker’s new extension includes $500,000 guaranteed, a $1 million base salary, and $2 million in new money.

Rucker, 31, had one year remaining on his a two-year, $2.145 million contract that included just $590,000 guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $1.1 million for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Rucker appeared in 15 games for Arizona and recorded 24 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 defensive end in a 3-4 defense out of 47 qualifying players.
