Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen mentioned that QB Carson Palmer has “been exceptional” during training camp thus far, per Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times.
Allen states that Palmer has a “nice command of the offense, and he’s doing a good job running it.” McDonald adds that offensive coordinator Greg Knapp really made Palmer work on rollouts and bootlegs on Tuesday during camp which has gone “so far, so good.”
Palmer is under some pressure since the Raiders gave up a 1st round draft pick in 2012 and a 2nd round draft pick in 2013 to acquire him.ย With an full offseason of practice with the Raiders, Palmer’s performance should at least show some overall improvement.
