Several reports have confirmed that Mike McCoy has agreed to become the next head coach of the San Diego Chargers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the San Diego Chargers have hired former Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy as their next head coach.
Broncos assistants have begun to takeover the AFC West now that McCoy is in San Diego and Dennis Allen is in Oakland.
The Chargers are obviously sticking with an offensive-minded head coach, butMcCoy really deserves a lot of credit for what he’s done for the Broncos the last two seasons. He was able to restructure the team’s offense to fit Tim Tebow‘s strengths, which somehow led to a playoff appearance, and he didn’t seem to have any trouble working with Peyton Manning this year.
Hopefully for San Diego, he’s able to do the same thing with Philip Rivers and the Chargers’ struggling offense.
