According to Eric Williams, the Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to terms to bring back S Adrian Phillips.
“We’re very happy to have him back.” GM Tom Telesco said.
Phillips, 26, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of 2014. He’s been on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad several times since entering the league.
The Chargers re-signed him to a one-year contract last offseason.
In 2018, Phillips appeared in all 16 games for Los Angeles and recorded 88 total tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus graded him as the No. 59 overall safety out of 93 qualifiers.
