Chargers Waive C Chris Watt With Failed Physical Designation

Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune reports that the Chargers waived C Chris Watt (knee) from their PUP list with a failed physical designation.

Watt, 25, was taken in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Chargers. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2,816,640 rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $600,000 (2016) and $690,000 (2017) over the remainder of the contract.

The Chargers placed Watt on the PUP list to open training camp and kept him on the list at the start of the regular season.

In 2015, Watt appeared in five games and played a total of 184 snaps for the Chargers.
