Chargers Waiving K Caleb Sturgis

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Chargers are waiving K Caleb Sturgis on Monday.

You can expect the Chargers to promote Michael Badgley from their practice squad to replace Sturgis in the coming days.

Sturgis, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He spent two years in Miami before he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season.

Sturgis spent three years with the Eagles before catching on with the Chargers last year.

In 2018, Sturgis has converted 9 of 13 (69.2 percent) of field goal attempts and converted 9 of 15 extra point tries.
