According to Aaron Wilson, the Chargers brought in five players for workouts on Tuesday, including DT Justin Ellis.
The full list of tryouts includes:
- DT Justin Ellis
- WR Jalen Guyton
- DT P.J. Johnson
- DT Adolphus Washington
- DT Sylvester Williams
Of this group, Los Angeles signed Williams to their active roster.
Ellis, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and was set to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career before agreeing to a three-year extension worth over $15 million last year.
The Raiders placed Ellis on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a knee injury and cut him with an injury settlement. Since becoming a free agent, he has worked out for the Chiefs and Lions but left both teams without a contract.
In 2018, Ellis appeared in six games and recorded seven tackles and no sacks.
