Chiefs Activate QB Chad Henne Off Injured Reserve

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have officially activated QB Chad Henne off their injured reserve.

Kansas City also promoted DT Joey Ivie from their practice squad, placed OT Greg Senat on injured reserve, and waived QB Kyle Shurmur from their active roster.

Henne, 34, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He played four years for Miami before signing with the Jaguars as a free agent in 2012.

Henne restructured his contract last season with the Jaguars to a one-year, $3,250,000 contract. The Chiefs signed him to a two-year, $6.7 million deal back in March.

He was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and was designated as a player to return last week.

In 2016 and 2017, Henne appeared in a combined three games for the Jaguars and has had just two passing attempts.
