Chiefs & Browns Trade For Randall Telfer/Dadi Nicolas Called Off

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the recent trade between the Chiefs and Browns that sent TE Randall Telfer to Kansas City for LB Dadi Nicolas has been called off.

Yates adds that both players have subsequently been waived by their original teams.

Telfer, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,397,536 contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Telfer appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and caught three passes for 36 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Nicolas, 25, was taken in the sixth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Chiefs. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.49 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000  over the next two years.

In 2016, Nicolas appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and recorded one pass defense and no tackles.
