According to Matt Derrick, the Chiefs have signed CB Michael Hunter to the 90-man roster.
The move likely replaces CB Keith Reaser, who went down with a possible Achilles injury earlier this week.
Hunter, 26, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2016. He was on and off of their active roster last season and later returned to New York on a futures contract for the 2017 season.
Unfortunately, the Giants waived Hunter with an injury designation during the 2017 season and he was later waived with an injury settlement. Hunter had brief stints with the Jets, Broncos and Bills before signing on to the Texans’ practice squad.
In 2017, Hunter appeared in four games for the Giants but did note record a statistic.
