Chiefs Waive LB Khaseem Greene After He Was Indicted On Weapons Charge

Update:

Marisa Iati of NJ.com reports that before the Chiefs elected to cut LB Khaseem Greene, he was indicted in connection with a shooting outside an Elizabeth nightclub last December.

According to Iati, surveillance video shows Greene handing a gun to another man out of the club, shortly before he figured it into a crowd of people.

Greene has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with this shooting.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have waived LB Khaseem Greene.

Greene, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2013. He was waived by Chicago shortly after last year’s NFL Draft but was later claimed by the Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay wound up releasing him coming out of the preseason. He eventually signed on with the Chiefs back in January to a futures deal.

In 2014, Greene appeared in 10 games for the Bears and recorded 17 tackles.
