Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Seeking Second Opinion

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is seeking a second opinion on his knee injury, according to Josina Anderson.

Anderson adds that potential surgery windows have also been discussed.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said during Sundayโ€™s game that โ€œitโ€™s not goodโ€ when asked about Riceโ€™s injury.

The Chiefs added depth at receiver this year, but losing Rice would certainly be a blow to their offense.

Chiefs WR Marquise Brown is also expected to miss the regular season with a shoulder injury.

Rice, 24, was named first-team All-AAC in 2022 for SMU. The Chiefs selected him in the second round with the No. 55 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Heโ€™s entering the second year of a four-year, $6,495,207 rookie contract that includes a $1,723,787 signing bonus.

In 2024, Rice has appeared in four games for the Chiefs and caught 24 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Weโ€™ll have more on Rice as it becomes available.
