Colts Promote OT J’Marcus Webb & G Jake Eldrenkamp

The Indianapolis Colts announced Saturday that they’ve promoted G Jake Eldrenkamp and OT J’Marcus Webb to their active roster for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

The Colts will be without starting offensive tackles Braden Smith and now Anthony Castonzo for the game.

Webb, 32, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He spent three years in Chicago before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings at the start of the 2013 season.

Webb had brief stints with the Chiefs, Vikings and Raiders before catching on with the Seahawks in 2016. The Colts signed him to a contract in 2018 but cut him loose after four months.

From there, he signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins in September of 2019 and played out his contract with Miami. The Colts re-signed him to their practice squad a few weeks ago.

In 2019, Webb appeared in 14 games for the Dolphins and started eight at right tackle.
