Colts Sign FB/TE Emil Igwenagu, Waive QB Josh Woodrum

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve signed FB/TE Emil Igwenagu to a contract and placed QB Josh Woodrum on waivers.

Igwenagu, 27, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Massachusetts back in 2012. He spent over two years in Philadelphia before being waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Lions during the 2014 preseason.

Unfortunately, Igwenagu spent the season in Detroit before being waived at the start of the 2015 season.

Igwenagu hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2012 season.

Woodrum, 23, signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Liberty, but was unfortunately waived after the team signed QB B.J. Daniels to their roster.

The Colts signed him to a contract back in May, making his stint in Indianapolis short lived.

During his four-year college career at Liberty, Woodrum threw for 10,266 yards while completing 63.9 percent of his passes to go along with 61 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He also contributed 228 yards rushing and 16 rushing touchdowns.
