Colts Sign G Nate Theaker, Waive/NFI G Ian Silberman

According to Mike Chappell, the Colts have signed G Nate Theaker to their 90-man roster and waived G Ian Silberman with a non-football illness designation.

Theaker, 25, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Wayne State (MI) back in May of 2017. He waived coming out of the preseason and later added to the Cowboys’ practice squad.

The Saints eventually signed Theaker to their taxi squad in October of 2017 and brought him back on a futures contract in January of last year. New Orleans waived him following the 2018 NFL Draft and he signed a contract with the Patriots in July.

However, New England placed Theaker on waivers with an injury designation last August and he later reverted to their injured reserve after going unclaimed.

Theaker has yet to appear in an NFL game.
