Colts Sign LB Nate Irving To A Three-Year Deal

The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of former Broncos LB Nate Irving on Friday.

  • Josina Anderson reports that Irving will receive a three-year contract from the Colts.
  • Anderson adds that the contract can be worth as much as $9.25 million.

Irving met with the Cardinals, but there has been buzz about him signing with Arizona in recent days, so it appeared as though the Colts were likely his best option.

Irving, 26, unfortunately suffered a torn ACL last year, so he could end up being a decent value signing for a team like the Cardinals.

In 2014, Irving was limited to appearing in eight games and recording 46 tackles, one sack and a safety. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.

We had Irving listed as the No. 54 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
