Colts Sign RB David Williams To PS, Release RB Bruce Anderson III

The Indianapolis Colts announced Wednesday that they’ve signed RB David Williams to their practice squad and released RB Bruce Anderson III from the unit.

Here’s the Colts updated practice squad:

  1. OL Jake Eldrenkamp
  2. LB Skai Moore
  3. CB Jalen Collins
  4. OT Jackson Barton
  5. WR Ashton Dulin
  6. DE Jamal Davis
  7. DT Brian Price
  8. WR Chad Williams
  9. OT Tyree St. Louis
  10. RB David Williams

Williams, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $2,553,980 contract with the Broncos that included a $93,980 signing bonus.

However, the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad. The Jaguars added him to their active roster midseason and he finished out the year in Jacksonville.

Unfortunately, the Jaguars cut Williams loose shortly after this year’s draft. He has gone on to have brief stints with the Broncos and Lions.

In 2018, Williams appeared in six games for the Jaguars and rushed for 36 yards on eight carries (4.5 YPC).
