Colts Place RB Dan Herron On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

Update:

The Indianapolis Colts officially placed RB Dan Herron on season-ending injured reserve on Monday after he cleared waivers.

The Indianapolis Colts have waived/injured RB Dan Herron on Sunday to make room for their new additions.

  • Colts claimed DT T.Y. McGill off waivers from Seahawks.
  • Colts claimed G Robert Myers off waivers from Ravens.

This explains why the Colts elected to hang onto RB Vick Ballard on Saturday, as they cut their roster down to 53 players.

Herron, 26, signed his exclusive rights tender from the Colts back in April worth $660,000.

In 2014, Herron appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and ran for 351 yards on 78 carries (4.5 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions and 173 yards receiving and a touchdown.
