According to Howard Balzer, the Colts brought three defensive linemen for workouts on Wednesday including DE Tashawn Bower, DT Justin Ellis, and DT Christian Ringo.
Ellis, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and was set to be an unrestricted free agent before agreeing to a three-year extension worth over $15 million last year.
The Raiders placed Ellis on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a knee injury and cut him with an injury settlement. He’s worked out for the Chiefs and Lions since becoming a free agent but left both teams without a contract.
In 2018, Ellis appeared in six games and recorded seven tackles and no sacks.
