Cowboys Cut 5 Players

The Dallas Cowboys announced the release of five players on Monday, as they work to trim their roster down to 75 players by tomorrow’s deadline.

Among the early roster cuts are:

Bates, 24, originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio back in 2012. He spent most of his rookie season on Seattle’s practice squad before he signed a reserve/future contract in February.

Bates signed on to the Browns’ practice squad last year, but was waived shortly after this year’s draft. The Cowboys wound up signing him to a contract a few weeks ago.

He has appeared in one games this season, but has yet to record a single statistic.

We’ll have more regarding the Cowboys’ roster cuts as the news is available.
