Cowboys Cut CB Brandon Carr Among Other Moves

The Cowboys announced Tuesday they have cut CB Brandon Carr in a series of roster moves.

Dallas also released OT Alex Light and signed OT Greg Senat to the active roster from the Browns practice squad. The Cowboys signed OT William Sweet to the practice squad.

Carr, 34, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2008. After four years in Kansas City, Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million contract that included $25.5 million guaranteed with the Cowboys in 2012.

Carr signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the Ravens back in 2016. However, the Ravens declined to pick up his option back in March, making him an unrestricted free agent.

The Cowboys had recently signed Carr to their practice squad and promoted him to the active roster.

In 2020, Carr appeared in three games for the Cowboys and recorded one tackle.
