Cowboys Place CB Orlando Scandrick On Season-Ending I.R. & Cut 7

The Dallas Cowboys have placed CB Orlando Scandrick on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday, as they get their roster down to 75 players before the 4pm EST deadline, according to Ian Rapoport.

The Cowboys also waived:

Dallas placed OL Chaz Green on the PUP list and LB Mark Nzeocha on the NFI list Tuesday.

Scandrick went down with a torn ACL in recent weeks, so this move was expected.

Scandrick, 28, has consistently appeared for Dallas since he was drafted in 2008. Signing a five-year, $20 million contract just last May, it is clear to see that Scandrick is in the team’s long term plans.

In 2014, Scandrick appeared to have a breakout season after landing as the No. 10 overall cornerback in NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. Last season, he accumulated: 55 total tackles, one sack, nine pass defenses, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
