Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the Cowboys placed DE Tyrone Crawford on injured reserve following hip surgery.
According to Archer, Crawford has been dealing with this hip issue dating back to last season. Crawford wound up missing the entire offseason program and training camp while rehabbing this injury, but he was still dealing with pain this season.
Crawford, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2012. He’s is in the fifth year of his six-year, $45.675 million contract that included $17.425 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $7 million and $8 million over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Crawford has appeared in four games for the Cowboys and recorded three tackles and a sack.
