According to Calvin Watkins, the Cowboys have re-signed LB Justin Phillips to their 90-man roster and waived OL Larry Allen Jr. to make room for him.
Phillips, 23, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May. Dallas waived him last month, making this his second stint with the team this offseason.
During his college career, Phillips recorded 221 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three interceptions, six pass defenses, six forced fumbles, and scored two touchdowns.
Allen Jr. also signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard. He is the son of former Cowboys’ Hall of Fame G Larry Allen.
This was his first opportunity with an NFL team.
During his college career at Harvard, Allen Jr. appeared in 31 total games.
