Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys are re-signing S Darian Thompson.
According to Michael Gehlken, Thompson receives a two-year, $2.8 million deal from Dallas.
Thompson, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He spent just over two years in New York before the Giants waived him with an injury settlement in 2018.
Thompson later signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad before the Cowboys added him to their active roster. He returned to Dallas one year on a one-year contract.
In 2019, Thompson appeared in 15 games for the Cowboys and recorded 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses.
