Cowboys Sign CB Sammy Seamster To Practice Squad, Cut TE Austin Traylor

The Dallas Cowboys officially signed CB Sammy Seamster to their practice squad on Wednesday and placed TE Austin Traylor from their practice squad.

The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Rico Gathers
  2. C Jake Brendel
  3. WR Andy Jones
  4. WR Vince Mayle
  5. CB Sammy Seamster
  6. QB Jameill Showers
  7. LB Jeremiah George
  8. DE Zach Moore
  9. T Keavon Milton
  10. DE Chris McCain

Seamster was one of several players who tried out for the Cowboys on Tuesday.

Seamster, 25, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in 2014. He was unable to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster that year but was later claimed by the Dolphins.

After a brief stint in Miami, Seamster later caught on with the Saints before joining the Bills midseason. He was on and off the Bills’ practice squad before being one of Buffalo’s final roster cuts earlier this month.
