According to Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys have signed DE Shakir Soto.
Soto played for the AAF’s San Diego Fleet this spring.
Soto, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in 2017. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
Soto signed to the Raiders practice squad near the end of 2017. He was signed to a futures deal for the 2018 season but did not make it past final roster cutdowns.
During his college career, Soto recorded 120 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks and a pass defense over the course of four seasons and 42 games.
