The Dallas Cowboys announced Friday that they’ve signed P Kasey Redfern to a contract, according to Calvin Watkins.
Redfern will compete with Chris Jones for a roster spot this summer.
Redfern, 27, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Wofford back in 2014. He was, unfortunately, cut loose during the preseason.
Redfern had brief stints with the Jaguars, Chargers and Panthers before Carolina traded him to the Browns as part of the Andy Lee deal at the start of the 2015 season. Cleveland ultimately waived him a few days later and he sat out the entire 2016 season.
The Lions signed Redfern to a one-year, $465,000 in 2017, but later suffered a season-ending knee injury.
In 2017, Redfern appeared in one game and totaled 50 punt yards on a single attempt.
