Cowboys Waive WR Corey Washington From I.R. With Settlement

The Dallas Cowboys officially waived WR Corey Washington from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Sunday.

Washington, 25, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few weeks with the Cardinals before he was waived and later claimed by the Giants.

After a year in New York, Washington had brief stints with the Redskins and Lions before signing on with the Falcons back in July of 2015. Unfortunately, he was among Atlanta’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Bills wound up signing him to their practice squad in October and Buffalo brought him back on a one-year deal this past March. After being cut loose a few months, Washington later signed on with the Chiefs before being cut loose a few weeks ago.

Dallas recently signed Washington before waiving him with an injury designation last week.

In 2014, Washington appeared in 14 games for the Giants and caught five passes for 52 yards receiving and a touchdown.
