Cone, 27, signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in 2011. The Browns signed him to a future/reserve contract back in December of last year, but cut him loose on Monday.
He last appeared in a game during the 2013 season when he totaled one reception for 12 yards, but also contributed to Atlanta’s special teams unit.
