Dolphins Claim WR Mack Hollins, Sign OL Evan Brown, Cut Two

Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports that the Dolphins have signed OL Evan Brown off the Giants’ practice squad on Wednesday.

Miami also claimed WR Mack Hollins off of waivers from the Eagles and waived CB Ken Crawley (injured) and OL Chris Reed.

Hollins, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.03 million contract and set to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season.

In 2019, Hollins has appeared in 12 games for the Eagles and caught 10 passes for 125 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Brown, 23, signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in May of last year. He wound up making their active roster his rookie season but was waived coming out of this year’s preseason.

The Giants signed him to their practice squad once he passed through waivers unclaimed and later added him to their practice squad.

During his college career, Brown was a four-year starter as a true freshman with SMU. He was an All-American Athletic Conference honorable mention and Campbell Trophy semifinalist his senior season.
