Dolphins DE Jason Jones Reinstated From Suspended List

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Dolphins DE Jason JonesĀ has been reinstated from the reserve/suspended list on Monday.

Jones finished serving his two-game suspension for violating NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy.

Jones previously released the following statement regarding his suspension:

I want to reiterate my apology to my teammates, coaches and the Miami Dolphins organization.Ā Fortunately no one was hurt because of my actions. This is something I learned from and have taken the proper steps to ensnure this will never happen again.

Jones, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2008. He played out his rookie contract with Tennessee andĀ had stints with the Seahawks and Lions before signing a one-year, $885,000 contract with Dolphins back in May.

In 2016, Jones appeared in 10 games for the Dolphins and recorded 23 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a fumbleĀ recovery.
