Field Yates reports that the Dolphins have officially hired Patriots WRs coach Chad O’Shea as their new offensive coordinator on Wednesday.
According to Yates, the Dolphins are hiring former NFL WR Tiquan Underwood as their offensive quality control coach.
Reports from a few weeks ago mentioned that Brian Foles was set on bringing O’Shea with him to Miami as his offensive coordinator, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
O’Shea, 46, began his coaching career at Houston as a graduate assistant for the 1996 season. From there, he worked his way up to TEs coach/special teams coach before departing for his first NFL coaching job with the Chiefs in 2003.
O’Shea later caught on with the Vikings and spent three years in Minnesota before the Patriots hired him as their WRs coach in 2009.
