Dolphins Sign CB Brandon Harris, Waive CB Tyler Patmon

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve signed CB Brandon Harris and placed CB Tyler Patmon on waivers Sunday.

Harris, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He lasted three years in Houston before he was placed on waivers and later claimed by the Titans right before the start of the 2014 season.

Harris re-signed with the Titans last year, but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL that cost him the entire year.

In 2014, Harris appeared in 11 games for the Titans in 2014 and recorded 11 tackles and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 112 total snaps in 2014 to go along with a solid rating in pass coverage.

Patmon, 25, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. He’s managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two years in the league.

However, Patmon was cut loose by the Cowboys in December before later signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad. Miami re-signed Patmon as an exclusive rights free agent.

In 2015, Patmon has appeared in 13 games and recorded 13 tackles, six pass defenses and 26 kick return yards for the Cowboys.
