Dolphins Waive OL Bryan Witzmann

The Miami Dolphins announced Thursday that they’ve waived OL Bryan Witzmann to make room for DE Taco Charlton, whom they claimed off of waivers from the Cowboys.

Witzmann, 29, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Houston before signing on to the Saints’ practice squad a few weeks into the 2015 season.

New Orleans elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract, but he was unfortunately waived a few weeks after the 2016 draft. Witzmann had brief stints with the Cowboys, Chiefs, Vikings and Bears before signing a one-year contract with the Browns this past March.

Cleveland released Witzmann a few weeks ago and he just recently signed on with the Dolphins.

In 2018, Witzmann appeared in all 16 games for the Bears.
